Timeline of updates

  1. resolved

Between 4 July 12:15 2022 UTC and 5 July 18:00 UTC customers using the Conversations API through one of our MessageBird SDKs experienced an SSL certificate error and were unable to connect successfully. This was due to a rollout of an updated SSL certificate that utilised a Root Certificate Authority that was not trusted by all platforms. The certificate update has been rolled back and users of our Conversations API through our SDKs are able to connect again.

From MessageBird (Bird)’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.

Archive proof

Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.

How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.

This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.

Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.bird.com (opens in new tab).
