Timeline of updates

  1. resolved

About a month ago, we updated the SSL certificate for cdn.heapanalytics.com, extending the expiration date to Sept 11, 2018. However, due to human error, our AWS CloudFront settings had regressed to the previous version of the SSL cert, which expired on August 10, 2015. This caused HTTPS requests for https://cdn.heapanalytics.com (opens in new tab) to start failing around 2:19 PM PDT today. We deployed the updated SSL cert around 3 PM PDT, which means some data might have been dropped between 2:19 PM and 3 PM PDT today. This should not have affected your product's functionality or performance. We're working on adding automated systems to ensure this sort of human error can never happen again.

From Heap’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.

Archive proof

Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.

How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.

This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.

Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.heap.io (opens in new tab).
