Dropbox Sign: Database failover caused brief 1 minute outage
Timeline of updates
- resolved
At 1:47pm PDT (4:47pm EDT) a database failover occurred, causing the site to issue HTTP-5xx messages for the next minute. This was an unplanned failover, but the system responded as it should and came back into usable state without human intervention. However, API consuming customers may have received HTTP-5xx codes during this interval.

Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.hellosign.com (opens in new tab).
