Contentful: Issues connecting to the Delivery API from Europe
Timeline of updates
- resolved
On Tuesday May 2nd between 14:39 and 14:57 clients connecting to the Delivery API from European locations may have experienced timeouts on API calls resulting in a cache miss - about 5% of traffic in total from this region, and around 1% globally. This increased error rate was due to a network outage with a major Internet transit provider affecting traffic between the US and Europe, and was mitigated by our CDN provider shortly after it started. Clients located in other geographies were not affected.
From Contentful’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on www.contentfulstatus.com (opens in new tab).
