Cloudinary: Video player failed to load videos
Timeline of updates
- resolved
Starting at 07:37 UTC today we noticed that our video player was not properly delivering videos. Our investigation showed that the player's hosting service was issuing errors, which made hosted scripts unavailable. This included our video player script as well. Further investigation discovered that accessing specific versions of the script on that service was working properly. As an immediate workaround, we suggested transitioning to referencing specific versions for the player to properly work. The issues ended at 08:02 UTC. We are looking internally as to how to prevent future such occurrences and have access to our scripts in a more robust manner.

Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.cloudinary.com (opens in new tab).
