Starburst: API logins with client credentials are intermittently failing with a 403 access-denied error
Timeline of updates
- investigating
Since 04:04 UTC, some API logins to Starburst Galaxy that use client credentials (API clients and service accounts with a client ID and secret) are intermittently failing with a 403 access-denied error. Browser and username/password logins, including JDBC and CLI, are not affected. Retrying the request usually succeeds. We have identified the cause and are working on a fix. Next update in 30 minutes.

Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert. That proves this record existed by then and has not been changed since, by anyone, Rewindex included.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
