Mux: Live streams unable to connect or reconnect
Timeline of updates
- resolved
At approximately 14:30 UTC on April 17, 2023, a subset of connections to our RTMP edge endpoints behind global-live.mux.com and live.mux.com began experiencing TCP handshake errors. This may have prevented publishing new livestreams or reconnecting to existing ones. At around 15:25 UTC on April 17, 2023, the issues were resolved and services returned to normal capacity. We are continuing to monitor and investigate the root cause.
From Mux’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.mux.com (opens in new tab).
