We’ve experienced an issue where users were unable to authenticate their Meta social media accounts (including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp), or interact with this suite of products within the Hootsuite platform. This was due to a widespread outage on Meta’s platform confirmed on their side here https://metastatus.com/ (opens in new tab) that began on March 5th at approximately 7:00 am PST and lasted until approximately 11:35 AM PST Publishing services. Any failed messages that did not send during this downtime can be sent manually or re-scheduled. Authentication services. Connecting new Meta accounts to Hootsuite or reconnecting existing Meta accounts in Hootsuite should go through as expected.
