Elastic Cloud: Issues with upgrading to Elasticsearch 8.13.0
Timeline of updates
- resolved
A fix for this issue has been committed and will be included in the upcoming Elasticsearch 8.13.1 release. The Elasticsearch 8.13.1 release is planned to be available mid next week. At that time, we will make Elasticsearch 8.13 available again for Elastic Cloud customers. We are resolving this incident at this time as we have confirmed no Elastic Cloud customers are affected by the Elasticsearch 8.13.0 issue. If you believe you are affected or have any questions related to this incident, please open a support case at https://support.elastic.co (opens in new tab).
From Elastic Cloud’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.elastic.co (opens in new tab).
