Elastic Cloud: Connectivity slowness to AWS us-east-2 region
Timeline of updates
- resolved
As of 18:29 UTC, the connection times in us-east-2 have returned to normal. We saw no decrease in traffic to the region, so the impact was solely to response time. This appears related an issue with cloud provider, as AWS posted a status message (http://status.aws.amazon.com/#ec2-us-east-2_1624992000 (opens in new tab)) regarding network connectivity in this region.
From Elastic Cloud’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.elastic.co (opens in new tab).
