Amplitude: AI Controls unexpectedly displayed as “Admin preview”
Timeline of updates
- resolved
On 2026-08-19 at 10:41:25 AM PT, some customers who had not explicitly enabled AI through the AI Controls page were placed in “Admin preview,” and non-admin users could not access AI features. The issue was fully resolved at 12:41 PM PT on 2026-08-19. No data was impacted, and no customer action is required. Following the fix, customers should now be able to access Global Chat and see the Global Chat interface instead of the “No access” message.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert. That proves this record existed by then and has not been changed since, by anyone, Rewindex included.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
