Amplitude: Data Processing latency
Timeline of updates
- resolved
From 7:19 AM to 12:35 PM PT on May 2nd, 2023, our data processing component encountered a delay of up to 1 hour and 42 minutes, which is reflected in our charts, cohorts, and export integrations. There was no loss of data during this incident, and our customers do not need to take any further action. The issue was caused by a large volume of writes to one of our databases, hence we have implemented an aggregation/throttling mechanism to prevent it from happening again in the future.
From Amplitude’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.amplitude.com (opens in new tab).
