Before: not present
After: We have deployed a mitigation for the issue with the GitHub integration where automated check results for some GitHub pull requests were missing in Vanta. Vanta will now keep check results it has already recorded, even after GitHub removes them under its updated retention policy (https://github.blog/changelog/2026-10-01-actions-retention-now-covers-checks-runs-and-statuses/). Some pull requests merged since October 1 may still show missing check results. We are continuing to investigate this and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Archive proof

Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert. That proves these records existed by then and have not been changed since, by anyone, Rewindex included.

How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
