Netlify: Load Balancer Connectivity Issues
Timeline of updates
- resolved
We experienced connectivity issues with our main load balancer. This issue only affected customers using an “A” DNS record for part or all of their traffic - CNAME/ALIAS/ANAME to Netlify site names were completely functional. The issue was isolated to our servers with Google Cloud Compute. In the meantime, our CDN routed traffic around the issue for customers with optimal DNS configuration. Our Google Cloud Compute servers came back online after a couple of hours. All service was restored to normal. We worked to monitor and expand our failover strategies to mitigate such issues in the future.
From Netlify’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on www.netlifystatus.com (opens in new tab).
