Timeline of updates

  1. resolved

After monitoring the situation overnight, we have not see any further instances of intermittent IPv6 connectivity issues in Frankfurt, so we believe this incident is now resolved. This issue was the result our Frankfurt IPv6 routes being leaked by a large indian mobile network operator, exacerbated by an apparent BGP software bug in our network hardware that caused the sessions with this provider to stay active after being administratively shut down. This leak was resolved last night at approximately 9pm EST, and we have seen no further instances of degradation. We apologize for any inconvenience as well as the unusually long time to restoration.

From Linode (Akamai)’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.

Archive proof

Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.

How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.

This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.

Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.linode.com (opens in new tab).
