Jupyter (Anaconda): CDN Sync Delays for Anaconda.org
Affected components: Anaconda.org - Repository ServiceRepository Service - conda.anaconda.orgAnaconda.org - Channels
Timeline of updates
- investigating
The CDN sync for popular channels on anaconda.org is delayed. We are investigating.
- monitoring
We've restarted some processes which perform the channel synchronization. The errored state is clearing. There appear to have been two issues with two different processes. In one process, this is an occurrence of a known issue, with a fix in active development. In the other process, this is a new issue and the root cause is being investigated. We are continuing to monitor the status.
- resolved
This incident has been resolved, we are continuing to monitor. The affected cloning processes are running stable again. We will continue to analyze the root cause for the incident and improve our monitoring for this kind of error
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert. That proves this record existed by then and has not been changed since, by anyone, Rewindex included.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
