GitHub: Disruption with some GitHub services
Timeline of updates
- resolved
Upon further investigation, the degradation in migrations in the EU was caused by an internal configuration issue, which was promptly identified and resolved. No customer migrations were impacted during this time and the issue only affected GitHub Enterprise Cloud - EU and had no impact on GitHub.com. The service is now fully operational. We are following up by improving our processes for these internal configuration changes to prevent a recurrence, and to have incidents that affect GitHub Enterprise Cloud - EU be reported on https://eu.githubstatus.com/ (opens in new tab).
From GitHub’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on www.githubstatus.com (opens in new tab).
