Cloudflare: Missing Logs and Traces in Cloudflare Observability Platform
Timeline of updates
- resolved
Between October 5 at 1:00 PM UTC and October 23 at 9:00 PM UTC, some customers may have experienced missing log events, incomplete traces, or inconsistent issue counts due to ingestion pipeline capacity limits.
Traffic and Workers were not affected, and customers will not be billed for dropped events. Capacity has since been increased, and service has returned to normal.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert. That proves this record existed by then and has not been changed since, by anyone, Rewindex included.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
