CircleCI: GitHub Login Disruption
Timeline of updates
- resolved
Between 19:49 UTC and 21:07 UTC on August 25, 2026, customers attempting to log in to CircleCI using GitHub were unable to sign in, and received an error from GitHub stating the callback URL was invalid. Customers who were already logged in were not affected. The issue has been resolved and GitHub login is functioning normally. We thank you for your patience while our team worked on implementing a fix.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert. That proves this record existed by then and has not been changed since, by anyone, Rewindex included.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
