On Tuesday, February 25th from 1:01 AM to 1:08 AM Eastern Time, our service experienced a brief disruption during a routine database maintenance. During this 7-minute window, some API requests returned 500 errors, while other transcription requests were temporarily delayed in our processing queue. Any transcripts successfully queued were automatically retried and processed by our systems. Our team quickly identified the issue, reverted the changes, and fully restored service functionality by 1:08 AM. We continue to actively monitor our Async API to ensure everything is operating normally.

From AssemblyAI’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.

Archive proof

Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.

How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.

This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.

Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on status.assemblyai.com (opens in new tab).
