We have prepared and validated several fixes that improve the HTTP2 performance significantly. The changes will be slowly deployed to the network over several releases starting in the new year and completing in Q1, 2023. This is the final update for this issue. Customers and partners can view additional details about these enhancements reaching out to Akamai Support. We apologize for the impact and thank you for your patience and continued support. We are committed to making continuous improvements to make our systems better and prevent a recurrence of this issue.
From Akamai’s published incident history: for incidents before Rewindex began polling this status page, only the final update text is available.
Archive proof
Rewindex commits each version of an incident it captures to a daily checkpoint, chains it to the day before, and has the checkpoint timestamped by FreeTSA and DigiCert.
How the archive is checked, and what it cannot prove.
This incident predates live tracking (October 17, 2026). It came from the vendor’s own published history, which is not covered by checkpoints.
Impact, status and times are the vendor’s own, as last archived. View on www.akamaistatus.com (opens in new tab).
