  1. update

We are investigating an issue where customers are experiencing intermittent issue retrieving Salesforce tokens, leading to authentication errors. This is impacting some customers' ability to authenticate and access Salesforce services. We are actively investigating the root cause and exploring multiple paths to resolution. We'll provide an update as soon as more information becomes available, and we apologize for any inconvenience this issue is causing to your business.

  2. update

We continue to investigate intermittent authentication errors affecting some customers retrieving Salesforce tokens on sandbox environments. We’ve identified a likely issue related to cross-instance authentication logic, which was introduced in a recent release. We are actively working on a workaround and will provide it to customers as soon as possible. Additionally, we are currently working on a fix-forward to resolve this issue. We'll provide another update within 60 minutes or as soon as more information becomes available.

  3. update

We’ve identified a workaround, and this is provided via the following Known Issue: http://sfdc.co/bXmnOS. The workaround will enable customers to log in and avoid authentication issues. We have also progressed with the fix-forward and are preparing to deploy this to one instance to validate its effectiveness. Once validated, we will deploy this to all impacted instances. We cannot currently provide a timescale for the deployment and validation of this, but we’ll advise as soon as possible. We’ll provide an update in the next 60 minutes, or as new information becomes available.

  4. update

We have identified the code changes necessary following a recent release that will mitigate the cause of this issue and fully restore services to customers. The fix-forward continues to be deployed on one instance, to enable us to assess and validate success. This may take several hours to complete. Once validated, this will be rolled out to all impacted instances. Customers are directed to this Known Issue for a workaround: http://sfdc.co/bXmnOS. The next update will be provided once we can validate the results of the deployment. We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers.

  5. update

Upon further investigation, the Salesforce Technology team has determined that the start time of impact is different than initially understood. We have now revised the start time of the Trust post to more accurately reflect the time customers may have begun to experience impact. We apologize for any confusion caused by this.

  6. update

We have successfully deployed the fix to the Test instance and completed early validation checks. The authentication requests now process without errors, and the fix has passed validation. We're rolling out the fix to the remaining impacted sandbox instances during their respective green windows to prevent any disruption to your business. While the rollout continues, customers should refer to the Known Issue article for the latest workaround guidance: http://sfdc.co/bXmnOS We apologize for the impact this incident may have had on you and your business.
