Timeline of updates
- update
Customers may be experiencing slowness or congestion with email services. We have identified the cause of the issue and are proceeding with mitigation steps. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers. We’ll provide an update in 60 minutes or as more information becomes available.
- update
We are continuing our mitigation activities. We have clarified the cause as a misconfiguration that has flooded affected instances with an unintendedly high volume of emails, which has caused congestion and slowness across email services. We have been able to stop the original activity that caused the issue, and are now focused on managing the backlog of emails. Once this is complete, we expect capacity to be restored and email services to return to usual performance levels. It is unclear exactly how long this will take. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers. We’ll provide an update in 60 minutes or as more information becomes available.
- update
After a period of monitoring, we can confirm that performance levels have returned to email services following completion of our mitigation steps. We will continue to monitor all impacted instances to ensure capacity issues do not recur. This is the final update, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to customers.
