Additional services such as SipTrunking and Voice API were impacted and customers may have experienced choppy audio, dropped calls, or failed inbound/outbound calling. The root cause was a DDoS attack against a client located within a shared data center as MessageBird. The network carrier is investigating why their anti-DDoS system failed to prevent this issue.
